charming stay close to york's main attractions and parks
During my stay, I appreciated the charming atmosphere of the building and especially loved the short walk of just over a kilometer to the stunning York Minster, which made it easy to explore this iconic landmark, while the beautiful National Railway Museum, just about 1 kilometers away, added an extra touch of fun to my city strolls.

great location but could use some upgrades
The location is excellent with easy access to shops and eateries along the way which made it enjoyable to return to the hotel after a long day the hosts were very friendly greeting us warmly every morning at breakfast. The shower in our room had great pressure and the bedding was definitely comfortable allowing for a good night's sleep.
The furnishings in the room seemed a bit dated.

The small double room was clean and had a comfy bed, which really helped for a good night's sleep. The shower worked well, delivering great pressure too. It did feel a bit dated with some older furniture, but everything was functional. A nice touch was the complimentary tea and coffee in the room. Just a heads up, it was a bit noisy at night from outside traffic, but other than that, a solid space to unwind after exploring York.

Had a great time with my friends! We visited the Minster and the city centre, both within walking distance. The breakfast was a standout with plenty of options, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. a solid choice for a group getaway.
Our shower was a bit temperamental, with sudden drops in water temperature, which was inconvenient.

Despite ringing ahead 48 hours before about parking, we arrived only to find it wasn't reserved and had a surprise charge! A bit cheeky, but everything else still shined a bright light on our stay.
